Currently, Ashgabat is the only city in Turkmenistan with an international airport, which connects to over a dozen countries and regions. Ashgabat International Airport is very close to the city center, making it convenient to reach by both bus and taxi.
Special Features
When departing Turkmenistan on a non-Turkmenistan Airlines flight, if the ticket was not purchased in Turkmenistan, you may be required to pay an additional airport tax of 25 USD.
