Taj Coral Island is located in the North Male Atoll of Malé, the capital of the Maldives. It is different from Taj Exotica Island, although both are managed by the renowned Indian Taj Hotel Group. While Taj Exotica Island is classified as a luxury resort island among the many islands of the Maldives, Taj Coral Island is considered a classic resort island.

Taj Coral Island reopened at the end of 2009, and the new hotel strives to provide guests with a comfortable, natural, and affordable luxury holiday. During the renovation process, the colorful coral reefs near the island and the pristine natural scenery on the island were preserved to the greatest extent possible.
