April Snow Falls at Bagua Mountain – Enjoy the Romantic Poetry of Tung Blossoms with a Picnic Under the Trees

Every year between April and May, the beautiful tung blossoms can be admired in central and northern Taiwan. Their petals drift down like snow, hence the name "April Snow" or "May Snow." But don't assume you can only see this tung blossom snow in Miaoli – the Bagua Mountain range in Changhua also bursts into bloom around this time every year and has recently become a popular spot for flower viewing.

The Tung Blossom Festival in Changhua County runs from April 12 to May 4, with the main event taking place on Sunday, April 20, at Tengshan Garden in Yuanlin. A total of10 different types of activitiesare available for the public to participate in. One of these is the "Picnic Fun Under the Tung Blossoms" event, held at Tengshan Garden in Yuanlin. The cost is 100 NTD per group, with the organizers providing picnic mats while participants bring their own meals, allowing them to enjoy the romantic poetry of snow-white tung blossoms as they dine.

As for tung blossom viewing spots, there are several including the Eastern Outer Ring Road in Changhua City, Sun Moon Mountain Scenic Farm, Futian Community Tung Blossom Eco Park, Dasha Ranch in Huatan Township, Bangou Mountain Insect Ecology Farm in Fenyuan Township, Dexing Community in Fenyuan Township, the Ancient Water-Carrying Trail in Xitou Community of Fenyuan Township, Tengshan Garden in Yuanlin, and Wolongpo Trail.
