Mount Daraitan

Mount Daraitan is located about 64 kilometers south of Manila, at an elevation of 700 meters. On clear days, you can enjoy panoramic views of Balayan Bay and Manila Bay from here. The world’s lowest volcano—Taal Volcano—is also situated in this area.

Taal Lake was originally formed as a volcanic crater lake, and within it, Taal Volcano emerged. Taal Volcano has recorded over 20 eruptions and remains active to this day.

Transportation: To get to Mount Daraitan from Manila, you can take a Crow Transit bus bound for Nasugbu (P70, 1 hour).
