Attraction Introduction

On the way from Wonsan to Mount Kumgang, you can see Lake Sijung stretching along the coast. It is a renowned seaside attraction and a destination for tourism, rest, and recuperation. The lake is 48 kilometers from Wonsan and 60 kilometers from Mount Kumgang. Across the Wonsan–Mount Kumgang highway, Lake Sijung faces an endless expanse of sea and white sandy beaches. Here, both saltwater and freshwater environments can be utilized. Lake Sijung is a lagoon, covering an area of 2.94 square kilometers, with a circumference of 11.8 kilometers, a length of 3.5 kilometers, and a width of 0.8 kilometers.
