The Burj Al Arab in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is the world’s only seven-star hotel. Situated on an artificial island 280 meters into the Arabian Gulf, it is shaped like a soaring sail. At 321 meters high with 56 floors, it was once the tallest hotel globally, even towering over the Eiffel Tower in France. Regarded as an architectural masterpiece, it represents the pinnacle of luxury in the UAE.

The hotel boasts 202 luxurious duplex suites, with its restaurant located on the top floor, exquisitely ornate. The 200-meter-high restaurant offers panoramic views of Dubai, along with the world’s tallest atrium. Beyond being a hotel, it is also a must-visit attraction for tourists. It faces the Jumeirah Beach Hotel (once considered the best hotel in the world).

The interior is lavishly decorated with gold in abundance, and all room amenities are from top-tier luxury brands. The hotel's AI-Mahara seafood restaurant is located underwater and can only be reached by submarine.

Room sizes range from 170 to 780 square meters, with the lowest-priced rooms starting at $900 per night, while the presidential suite costs up to $18,000 per night. The presidential suite is on the 25th floor, featuring gold-plated furnishings, a private cinema, two bedrooms, two living rooms, a dining room, and access via a dedicated elevator.

Visiting the hotel requires paying a fee, and guests are expected to dress formally.

The hotel is 15 kilometers from the city center and 25 kilometers from Dubai International Airport. Taxis are available for the trip.

City taxi flagfall is 3 Dhs, rising to 3.5 Dhs between 10 PM and 6 AM. Each kilometer costs 1.17 dirhams. Alternatively, you can rent a taxi for 12 hours at 500 Dhs. There are also unmetered taxis in the city, where travelers can negotiate the fare directly with drivers—short trips usually cost around 5 Dhs.
