Gold Souk (Spice Souk)
In the Deira district by the creek, narrow lanes twist together like a maze to form the Spice and Gold Souks. In the Spice Souk, you’ll be greeted by the pungent aromas of Arabian spices, perfumes, incense, and culinary seasonings for sale. Nearby, the Gold Souk dazzles with the gold on display in every shop window. You can choose from gold necklaces, gold earrings, gold bracelets, and more. You can even design your own pieces. Shop owners are ready to haggle with you. Close by, you’ll find the Antique Souk, where you can buy coffee pots, Arabian chests, daggers, Bedouin jewelry, and carvings—all at very low prices.
