Dolmabahçe Palace

Dolmabahçe Palace is located on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul, Turkey’s largest city, just north of the Bosphorus Bridge. It is one of the most famous palaces in Istanbul.

Constructed between 1861 and 1865, the palace was used as a summer residence by Sultan "Abdülaziz" and as a venue for receiving foreign dignitaries. The reception hall features a striking pool and fountain. It is said that Ottoman-era architecture often incorporated indoor fountains for their soothing sound and cooling effect. Dolmabahçe Palace is adorned with magnolia blossoms and exotic flowers from around the world, with intricately designed pavilions and halls creating an elegant, luxurious, and distinctly royal atmosphere.
