The Rahmi M. Koç Museum is a private industrial museum located in Istanbul, Turkey, dedicated to the collection of historical vehicles, industrial and communication tools. Rahmi M. Koç, one of Turkey’s wealthiest business magnates, founded the museum after his retirement in 1991, and it officially opened to the public on December 13, 1994. It is situated on the Golden Horn in Istanbul, housed within two interconnected historic buildings. The museum is open every day except Monday.

Most of the exhibits in the Rahmi M. Koç Museum come from Rahmi M. Koç’s private collection, while others are either on loan from other institutions or donated by individuals. The core exhibits consist of original machines and their replicas, as well as scientific and mechanical artifacts, including road vehicles, railway vehicles, ships, aircraft, steam engines, communication devices, and scientific instruments. For example, the communication devices include a rotary dial telephone from 1920, a gramophone from 1903, a telegraph patent model by Thomas Edison from 1876, a vacuum tube amplifier from 1936, and a zoetrope from 1835. In addition, there are many other vintage machines from various eras that visitors can explore, all of which are sure to be fascinating.
