The Bosphorus Bridge, also known as the "First Bosphorus Bridge," is a suspension bridge located in Istanbul, Turkey. It was the first bridge to span the Bosphorus Strait and connect the continents of Asia and Europe. Upon its completion, it was the world's fourth-largest suspension bridge and the largest in Europe. As it successfully connected Europe and Asia, it was called "the only bridge in the world that spans two continents."

Construction of the Bosphorus Bridge began in 1970 and was completed and opened to traffic in 1973. The bridge has a total length of 1,510 meters, is 64 meters above sea level, and is 39 meters wide with six lanes. A notable feature of the bridge is that there are no piers in the water; the entire structure is supported by two massive steel cables suspending the deck. Stretching over 1,500 meters, the bridge resembles a rainbow soaring between the shores of the strait, linking transportation between Europe and Asia and facilitating people-to-people exchanges. At night, illuminated by colorful lights, the Bosphorus Bridge becomes even more beautiful, showcasing its elegant form to the people of both continents and allowing them to admire it from afar.
