Also known as Hundred Islands (Ko Phae), Bamboo Island gets its name from the bamboo found on the island. It is a small island within the archipelago of the Gulf of Thailand, located about 10 kilometers from Sihanoukville. In the past, Bamboo Island was merely a naval outpost, but in recent years, with the continuous development of Sihanoukville's tourism industry, tourism on Bamboo Island has also seen unprecedented growth, attracting visitors from around the world to explore its beauty. The eastern and northern parts of the island feature beautiful beaches with clear waters and white sands, making them ideal for sunbathing. The southern part boasts spectacular coral reef rocks, with abundant coral in the surrounding waters, making it one of the best swimming and diving spots near Koh Phi Phi. Additionally, Bamboo Island is close to Mosquito Island, allowing visitors to easily include a trip to that island as well.
