Busan Aquarium

The Busan Aquarium is home to about 35,000 animals including birds, fish, reptiles, and amphibians, making it the largest aquarium in South Korea. Spanning approximately 36,000㎡ over four floors — three underground and one above ground — the facility features an outdoor park and parking lot on the surface, while the first basement level includes an ocean simulation hall, lounge, and souvenir shop; the second and third basement levels host various aquarium exhibits. What makes the Busan Aquarium most proud is its 80-meter-long underwater tunnel on the third basement level. Walking through the tunnel gives visitors the sensation of being truly underwater, as fish swim by from both sides and overhead, creating a magical and fascinating experience that is highly popular among tourists. Additionally, the ocean simulation hall on the first basement level allows visitors to enjoy an immersive journey through a fantasy marine world.

Transportation – From Busan Station: Take Subway Line 1 to Busan Station, then transfer to Line 2 and get off at Haeundae Station (50 minutes). Exit via Exits 3 or 5 and walk for 10 minutes. – From Express Bus Terminal: Take Subway Line 1 to Nopo-dong Station, then transfer to Line 2 and get off at Haeundae Station (1 hour). Exit via Exits 3 or 5 and walk for 10 minutes. – From Gimhae International Airport: Take Bus No. 307 or 2002 (standard bus) to Haeundae (50–60 minutes).
