Enjoy the romantic sea view at Haeundae Beach with the first-ever Hot Air Balloon Festival in Busan!

Hot air balloon fever isn’t only sweeping through Taiwan. In addition to the hot air balloon festivals in Taitung and Taoyuan, Busan in South Korea has recently launched a hot air balloon experience, located along the coast of Haeundae Beach. As you ascend in the balloon, you can gaze out over the endless seascape and the urban landscape of the land.

The hot air balloon experience at Haeundae Beach in Busan opened in mid-June this year, lifting passengers up to 15 meters high to admire the boundless seascape of Haeundae from a fresh perspective, almost like being on an aerial observation deck. The balloons are made in the UK and operated by pilots with 20 to 30 years of experience.

For safety reasons, Haeundae hot air balloons are tethered to the ground with ropes. Each flight accommodates a maximum of 5 people for a 10-minute ride, and tickets can only be purchased on-site. The experience will be suspended if wind speeds exceed 2 meters per second. Passengers under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a guardian.
