When traveling in Korea, most people’s first choice is Seoul. But in recent years, the southern metropolis of Busan has also become extremely popular. Unlike Seoul’s urban landscape, this port city offers a more rustic and peaceful vibe, with a strong sense of human warmth. Aside from its famous seascapes, Busan’s traditional markets serving a variety of fresh and delicious seafood are must-visit hotspots. And when it comes to shopping — an essential part of any trip — Busan won’t disappoint either. The fun level here is truly no less than Seoul!

● Memory overloaded: Haeundae Beach

When you think of Busan, Haeundae is probably the first place that comes to mind. On a sunny day, the blue sky, white clouds, azure sea, and white sandy beach at Haeundae are the perfect spots to max out your camera memory. Tall buildings line up next to the beach, creating a picturesque scene. In winter, you can even feed shrimp crackers to flocks of seagulls!

● Korea’s Machu Picchu: Colorful Gamcheon Culture Village

Aside from Haeundae, another top tourist spot in Busan is the so-called “Korea’s Machu Picchu,” the Gamcheon Culture Village. Houses in shades of blue, white, orange, red, and yellow are built along the hillside, resembling stacks of colorful building blocks. The village is full of delightful murals that keep surprising you, while unique cultural and creative shops cater to treasure hunters. The spectacular view from the highest point is truly unforgettable.

● Breathtaking night views of the harbor city: Take in the sights from Busan Tower

To enjoy the panoramic view of Busan Port, one of the city’s three famous mountains, Yongdusan, is the perfect spot. Standing tall on it is Busan Tower, where you can gaze at the dazzling night view of the harbor city. Getting lost in the shimmering lights will also help calm your heart.
