Haeundae Welcome Moon Road

Haeundae Welcome Moon Road is located at the intersection where Haeundae Beach leads to Songjeong Beach (on the mountainside of Wannu Mountain), featuring a path densely lined with cherry blossom and pine trees. Since ancient times, this area has been representative of the region due to the scenic combination of blue sea, sandy beaches, camellia forests, and pine woods. In 1965, with the opening of Haeundae Beach, it also became a popular summer retreat. On clear days, Tsushima Island (a Japanese island) can be faintly seen on the horizon. The surrounding area boasts high-quality hot springs and various amenities, making it an ideal spot for relaxation not only in summer but all year round. Welcome Moon Road features an 8-kilometer-long roadway, and at the summit of Wannu Mountain sits Welcome Moon Mountain, which is home to a bell tower commemorating the new millennium — a symbol of Busan as an ocean city open to the world.

Transportation 1. Take city bus No. 139 or 140, or intercity bus No. 239 or 240 from Busan Station, and get off at Yeongnam Apartments Station in Haeundae Development Zone. Then walk for 10–15 minutes (or take a taxi for the base fare). Signposts are available at the station (refer to them; total travel time is about one hour). 2. Take Busan Metro Line 2, get off at Haeundae Station, exit via Exit 1, then transfer to city bus No. 100, get off at Yeongnam Apartments Station, and walk for 10–15 minutes (or take a taxi for the base fare). Signposts are available at the station (refer to them; total travel time is about 50 minutes). From Busan Station, you can also take premium intercity bus No. 2001, regular city bus No. 139 or 140, intercity bus No. 239, or semi-sleeper bus No. 302 to Haeundae Shinseong Hospital Station. The entrance to Welcome Moon Road is located to the right, just opposite the hospital.
