Songjeong Beach has fine sand and shallow waters, making it an ideal spot for a family-friendly day at the beach. The beach stretches 1.2 km in length and 57 meters in width, covering an area of 62,150 square meters and can accommodate over 140,000 people. The sandy shore is composed of high-quality sand transported from the Songjeong Stream and crushed shells such as lyrate lucine, which have been weathered, creating a surface that resembles a bed of fine pearls and jade. Coupled with its rich and unique southern charm, it’s truly a perfect seaside beach. Additionally, on the entrance side of the beach lies竹岛 (Bamboo Island), which boasts dense pine forests and leisure spaces, while the northeastern end offers fishing opportunities. In summer, visitors can enjoy riding jet skis and taking boat trips from the pier. Within Songjeong Beach, there is a pavilion called Songiljeong, renowned nationwide for its spectacular sunrise and moonrise views.

Being somewhat distant from Busan, Songjeong Beach enjoys a more tranquil atmosphere compared to other beaches in the city. Each year, events such as the Seaweed Festival on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month and the Songjeong Beach Festival are held here. In summer, it becomes a popular destination for many seeking relief from the heat.

Busan Station → Songjeong Beach: Take bus no. 139, 140, 239, or 302. Alternatively, take Subway Line 2 to Haeundae Station (Exit 7) and transfer to bus no. 100, 100-1, 139, or 142.
