The Busan International Film Festival is Asia’s largest and a global film festival, representing one of the cities that showcase Asian cinema and imagery. The Home of Korean Cinema is the dedicated venue and symbol of the Busan International Film Festival, as well as one of the new cultural tourism destinations created through the joint efforts of the citizens of Busan.

The Home of Korean Cinema spans 32,137 square meters, with nine floors above ground and one underground. It is the world’s first integrated image-based cultural space that connects cinema with performing arts. The venue consists of three main structures: CINE MOUNTAIN (the main cinema building), BIFF HILL, and DOUBLE CONE. Among them, CINE MOUNTAIN houses Korea’s highest-standard performance stage—the Sky Kite Theatre—which combines artistic excellence with broad appeal and is highly favored by visitors.

The Home of Korean Cinema holds monumental significance in the history of world architecture, with its outstanding design and deconstructivist aesthetic. It is not only a premier destination for film screenings but also features large and small rings along with 42,600 LED lights below, which create a stunning visual spectacle together with the Masan River and Doota Park, making it one of the most dreamlike landscapes in Busan.
