Nonoichi City

Nonoichi City is a city located in central Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. On November 11, 2011, it was elevated to city status due to its population exceeding 50,000. It is home to Kanazawa Institute of Technology and Ishikawa Prefectural University. Nonoichi is situated near the center of Ishikawa Prefecture, a completely flat area with no mountains or sea, and borders Kanazawa City to the northeast and Hakusan City to the southwest.

The Mukezuka Ruins in Nonoichi City date back 3,700 years and were once a large settlement. Artifacts from the Jomon period have been unearthed here, including clothes with geometric patterns, earrings without rings, necklaces, and more. The Hometown History Museum focuses on exhibiting historical archaeological finds, providing detailed explanations for artifacts from each historical era. In addition, the Kita Family Residence, the Suematsu Aradera Ruins, and the ruins of Togashi Castle are also must-visit sites.
