Youth Stream

The Youth Stream Scenic Area is located in Kaohsiung County, Taiwan Province. Notable attractions within the area include Youth Valley, the Youth Stream Waterfall Cluster, and Golden Falls, making it a highly pristine and diverse natural scenic spot. The Youth Stream Hot Spring is situated to the north of Taoyuan Village, originating from Taoyuan Mountain in the tributary of the Laonong River. The water is clear and transparent, drinkable, with a temperature of about Celsius 46 degrees and a hydrogen ion concentration of 7.5, classifying it as a weakly acidic carbonated spring. Currently, it remains in a primitive state, where residents have stacked stones to create caves, forming an open-air primitive hot spring bathing area with two pools nestled among lush forests and bamboo groves. The Taoyuan Township Office has plans to develop it into a tourist hot spring area. From the hot spring site, visitors can continue upstream to admire the first through fifth Youth Stream Waterfalls.
