Mayday Talks About Their Must-Do Romantic Thing – “Incredible Kaohsiung” Premieres on Father’s Day

Beautiful attractions such as the Cijin Lighthouse, Sizihwan, Heart of Love River, and Central Park all appear in the short film alongside Mayday. The rock band Mayday filmed the 2013 Kaohsiung city promotion short film *Incredible Kaohsiung (Kaohsiung Incredible)*, which will premiere at 8 PM on August 8. In the 30-minute program, Ashin, Monster, Masa, Stone, and Guanyu will take Kaohsiung as their theme and introduce the “must-do romantic things.”

Since becoming Kaohsiung’s city ambassadors in 2011, Mayday has continuously promoted the beauty of Kaohsiung through concerts and overseas promotional events. Lau Ray-long, Director of the Kaohsiung City Government Information Bureau, stated that Mayday has been an important driving force in Kaohsiung’s city marketing. A deep bond has formed between Kaohsiung and Mayday, with four concerts over three years attracting a total of 200,000 attendees and generating billions in tourism revenue. Therefore, the Kaohsiung City Government once again invited Mayday to serve as city ambassadors in 2013, aiming to further enhance international visibility and broaden tourism perspectives, showcasing the Kaohsiung craze to the world.

The full *Incredible Kaohsiung* city promotion short film, entirely shot in Kaohsiung, features Mayday members Ashin, Monster, Masa, Stone, and Guanyu as little angels bringing joy and blessings to the city. The male lead, Yan Jue, and a beautiful female lead share a romantic storyline while visiting stunning sites such as the Cijin Lighthouse, Dadong Art and Cultural Center, Sizihwan, Heart of Love River, and Central Park. The director crafts delicate storylines and soft visuals, presenting an enchanting portrayal of Kaohsiung’s charm. The Kaohsiung City Government Information Bureau released this emotionally rich short film just before Qixi Festival and also close to Father’s Day, showcasing the genuine emotions of Kaohsiung’s day and night scenery during these warm holidays.

In addition to the city promotion short film shot by Mayday in Kaohsiung, the Kaohsiung Municipal Public Channel will broadcast *Incredible Kaohsiung – Behind the Scenes of the City Promotion Short Film* on the evenings of August 10 and August 11 from 10:30–11:00 PM. In the 30-minute program, Ashin, Monster, Masa, Stone, and Guanyu will chat about the fun of filming in Kaohsiung, unforgettable local snacks, the *Greater Kaohsiung Food Guide*, and other exciting content including must-do romantic activities in Kaohsiung.
