Sixi Colorful Butterfly Valley
Sixi Colorful Butterfly Valley is located in the valleys of Hongshui Stream and Zhujiao Stream to the north of Liugui Township, surrounded by mountains that shield it from cold winds, resulting in stable temperatures. The valley is rich in the ironwood tree, which is ideal for butterfly habitation and reproduction, making it an optimal refuge and breeding ground for butterflies during winter.
Following the winding course of the stream, Sixi Colorful Butterfly Valley is divided into 11 valley sections, with the 8th valley being the most distinctive. There are approximately 280 species of butterflies native to Taiwan, and over 250 of them can be found in Sixi Colorful Butterfly Valley, earning it the title of "Butterfly Kingdom."
