Communications Museum

The Macao Communications Museum is located at No. 7, Fortaleza do Monte, Macao Special Administrative Region. It is managed by Macao Post and officially opened on March 1, 2006. This museum is designed to provide visitors with an entertaining experience while they engage in experiments and learning. Combining cultural, scientific, and technological features, it is built as an interactive and experimental museum based on the belief of “Dare to Try, Dare to Discover.”

The exhibitions at the Macao Communications Museum are divided into two main areas. The Postal and Philatelic Exhibition Area on the first floor showcases systems, technologies, equipment, stamps, and postal instruments that have been used in the development of long-distance communication, highlighting collections closely tied to the history of Macao Post. The Telecommunications Exhibition Area on the second floor is the most interactive part of the museum. In addition to displaying telecommunications equipment related to the historical development of Macao Post, it also features a wide range of scientific exhibits focusing on electromagnetism, static electricity, direct current, alternating current, telegraphy, telephony, radio broadcasting, information processing, transmission, analog electronics, and digital electronics—giving visitors insight into the evolution of communication media, technology, and cutting-edge innovations.
