Bodhi Temple

Bodhi Temple is the largest temple in Taipa. With its intricately carved beams and magnificent architecture, the temple houses not only the largest statue of Sakyamuni Buddha in Macao but also a Thai statue of the Four-Faced Buddha in its courtyard. The base of the Sakyamuni Buddha statue is a lotus pedestal standing 5.4 meters high and weighing approximately six tons, cast in bronze. The Buddha’s left hand rests flat while the right hand is raised, exuding a solemn and compassionate expression.
