A three-day, two-night stay in Macau is just perfect, offering everything from food and drinks to entertainment. Gather a few friends and head out together. For those who love history and culture, start your journey in the Historic Centre of Macau on the Macau Peninsula. Stroll through adjacent plazas and streets, exploring over 20 interconnected and highly significant World Heritage historical buildings and spaces. Among them are the Ruins of St. Paul’s, Senado Square, the Chapel of St. Dominic, A-Ma Temple, and the Maritime Museum Building—all of which showcase the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures and their unique historical backgrounds.

Some say that if you haven’t been to the Ruins of St. Paul’s, you haven’t really been to Macau, so it’s definitely a photo spot every tourist should check off their list. The pastel pink and light yellow façades of the Portuguese-style buildings look stunning no matter how you pose. Macau is a place where you can slow down and take a deeper look. Not only are many attractions within walking distance, but they also give you time to pause and soak in the atmosphere.

“Nam Van · Yat Yuen Lakeside” is a new cultural and creative attraction jointly planned by the Macau Tourism Board and other government agencies. It combines elements of leisure and performance, making it a great spot to visit in the evening when you can enjoy the sunset over the lake reflecting the Macau Tower. There are also creative shops and scenic spots nearby, offering visitors a chance to relax and take photos.

On Coloane Island in Macau, the Hac Sa Beach and the Five Houses of the Portuguese Style—also known as the “Taipa Houses–Museum”—are must-see spots. This museum is centered around five Portuguese-style houses along the seaside road. The buildings preserve their Portuguese architectural style and are even accented with a charming Tiffany green that will delight anyone with a sweet tooth for aesthetics. If you’re lucky, you might even spot couples taking wedding photos here. Then, as you head toward Rua do Cunha (Guia Street), you’ll pass by the Chapel of Our Lady of Guia. The streets along the way are lined with Portuguese-style buildings, giving you a deep sense of Macau’s historic culture and character. Once you arrive at Guia Street, you’ll find plenty of traditional bakeries, specialty restaurants, and local snacks. You can pick up some souvenirs or sample authentic Portuguese egg tarts, pork chop buns, and crab congee—all perfect ways to end your three-day, two-night Macau adventure.
