News Flash / Paper Panda "Causes a Stir" at Ningxia Night Market   Adopt One for Public Good at 6,000 NTD

  "1600 Pandas World Tour—Taipei" attracted over 3 million visitors during its exhibition at Taipei City Hall Square and National Theater & Concert Hall Square. The two bears also made flash appearances at 14 Taipei attractions. Their cute flash photos not only appeared in TIME magazine in the U.S., but also received extensive coverage from international media such as BBC UK.

  The final farewell flash event of the two bears took place on April 23 at Ningxia Night Market. Despite occasional light rain, the charm of the paper panda and paper Formosan black bear remained undiminished, drawing large crowds.

To thank the two bears for their hard work, Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-pin hosted a farewell banquet featuring a "Banquet of Longevity" that highlights night market delicacies. During the banquet, Hau said the panda flash event had successfully promoted Taipei’s tourism. The final farewell flash was held at Ningxia Night Market because the night market is a must-visit attraction that best showcases Taiwan.

Cheng Shih-yu, CEO of Left Brain Creative Marketing, also officially announced the launch of the "Paper Sculpture Panda Public Adoption Program" and the "Black-and-White Twin Bears Tour Taiwan—Rural Primary School Outreach Program" during the flash event. The "Paper Sculpture Panda Public Adoption Program" will open online registration starting the morning of April 24. Donors contributing 6,000 NTD can adopt one paper panda or paper black bear, with a limited run of 1,200 available.

Regarding the "Black-and-White Twin Bears Tour Taiwan—Rural Primary School Outreach Program," Cheng Shih-yu stated that the goal is to fulfill the original intent and spirit of the exhibition. The paper pandas will tour rural areas from May to October. Through art and educational initiatives, the program aims to raise awareness about endangered animals and support local conservation efforts in Taiwan.
