Ruins of St. Paul's

Ruins of St. Paul's is a park located in Taipa, completed in 1955. It is now part of the "Lilau Portuguese Charm," one of Macao’s Eight Scenic Spots. Its design features terraced slopes adorned with white and pink hues, giving it a Portuguese aesthetic.

As the park was directly next to the sea during the 1940s and 1950s, the flower planters were designed in wavy shapes. According to long-time residents of Taipa, the brick house currently situated on the lowest flat ground used to be a public toilet built by the seaside, where fish could often be seen swimming in the water below. This function has since been lost due to land reclamation. During the height of summer, standing at the highest point allows you to admire the lotus flowers in the pond swaying in the breeze — a truly delightful sight. It is a great tourist attraction in Macao and an ideal spot for wedding photography.
