Tsing Chung Koon

Introduction

Tsing Chung Koon is located in Kirin Wai, Castle Peak, Tuen Mun, in the western part of Kowloon, Hong Kong. It was founded in 1949 by Lu Yin Fang and others, belonging to the Quanzhen Longmen sect, with its Taoist roots tracing back to Zhizhao Tai in Guangzhou, Guangdong. The temple was initially built on Wai Ching Street in Kowloon, moved to Nathan Road in 1952, and relocated to a new site in Kirin Wai, Castle Peak, Tuen Mun in 1960. The main hall is exquisitely and elaborately constructed, with a front worship pavilion connected to the main hall. The roof features a double-layered rolled-bracket design, covered with yellow glazed tiles. The main deity enshrined inside is Lü Dongbin, flanked by statues of Patriarchs Wang Chongyang and Qiu Chuji. The shrine is finely carved, adorned with simple yet elegant ornaments, complemented by vibrant floral lanterns, reflecting a distinctive Lingnan charm. Transportation
