The Dr. & Mrs. Hung Hin Shiu Museum of Chinese Medicine at Hong Kong Baptist University is Hong Kong’s first museum dedicated to traditional Chinese medicine. Located on the ground floor of the School of Chinese Medicine building on the Baptist University Road Campus, the museum officially opened to the public on December 14, 2007, and displays over 100 exhibits related to traditional Chinese medicine. The museum was funded with a grant of HK$4.5 million from the University Grants Committee of Hong Kong, as well as donations from Dr. and Mrs. Hung Hin Shiu and other benefactors.

The museum houses a collection of over 100 exhibits, with highlights including a replica of the “Ming Dynasty Zhengtong imitation Song acupuncture bronze figure,” valued at HK$300,000. The bronze figure stands 1.7 meters tall and weighs approximately 200 kilograms, with 657 acupuncture points engraved on its surface. The original was China’s first standardized reference for acupuncture points and was used for teaching or examinations in ancient times. The oldest exhibit is a bronze steamer from the Warring States period. Other items include various pottery pieces from the Han dynasty, black-glazed grinding bowls from the Song dynasty, donkey-hide gelatin (Ejiao) and its packaging from the Qing dynasty, traditional Chinese medicine plaques, diagnostic and preparation tools from the early Republican period, as well as books on traditional Chinese medicine, containers for herbal tea, surgical instruments, and acupuncture tools from the Qing dynasty to the modern era.
