25.16 meters tall — the world’s tallest! Hsinchu Tian Gong Temple unveils its stone-carved Nine-Dragon Pillar

The world’s tallest 25.16-meter dragon pillar was unveiled on the 10th at Hsinchu City’s Tian Gong Temple. The Tian Gong Temple Management Committee donated the Nine-Dragon Pillar in Tian Gong Temple Park, presenting a world-class landscape that surpasses the 19-meter dragon pillar in mainland China, making it the tallest of its kind globally. The park is adjacent to the soon-to-be-renovated Koya River section, boasts a beautiful environment and unique scenery, and is especially enchanting at night with its lighting — making it an ideal destination for family outings and leisure.

Hsinchu Tian Gong Temple (pictured below, provided by Hsinchu City Government), also known as Hsinchu Tian Tan, is located at No. 36, Lane 431, Zhongshan Road, Hsinchu City, Taiwan. It is a Taoist temple primarily dedicated to the Jade Emperor (Tian Gong). Next to the temple lies Tian Gong Temple Park, which shares its name and serves as a local faith center.
