This park has been meticulously developed based on the distinctive natural and pristine scenery of the Ili River. Here, there are small bridges over clear flowing waters where fish swim joyfully; here, the blue sky and white clouds fill the air with exceptional freshness; here, reeds spread out across the landscape, dotted with secondary forests. The wetlands of the Ili River nurture unique plant resources — over ten species of wild trees such as wild jujube, wild sea buckthorn, wild willow, and wild mulberry make this an ideal habitat for various animals. Even in the early spring when the weather is just beginning to warm, frogs are already singing their praises. By May, a variety of birds gather here, expressing their love and fondness for the place. Dozens of species of birds and beasts — such as pheasants, ducks, rabbits, fish, snowcocks, and seagulls — frequently roam the area, living in harmony with humans who care for them deeply. In July and August, it becomes a paradise for cooling off and enjoying the scenery. A leisurely stroll may lead you to toss a stone into the distance, splashing up thousands of water flowers accompanied by birdsong, fish sounds, dog barks, and the swaying of trees in countless forms. In the bitter cold of winter, why not try your hand at the ice-skating rink for an exhilarating experience that will leave you thrilled yet composed? The dazzling snowy landscapes and rime frost will surely make you exclaim in awe — this is truly a paradise where people can return to nature and seek out its wild pleasures.

That’s enough, and yet there’s no need to seek anything more. Yet the creators of the park have gone a step further, using the upright earthen layers by the river to build a modern version of Yan’an’s new village — cave dwellings. These cave dwellings are essentially arched rooms that are warm in winter and cool in summer. Staying in them allows one to enjoy the ambiance of modern life while also experiencing life as it was 50 years ago in a cave dwelling. Sleeping on the traditional heated kang bed, you can taste farm-style meals made with natural ingredients and self-produced items such as fish, livestock products, vegetables, poultry, local produce — all meticulously prepared, bringing the joys of life to the fullest.

More than that, the park has invested 16 million yuan to develop over ten specialized zones, including an ethnic style villa area, animal viewing area, gourd island performance area, horseback riding and hunting area, fishing and leisure area, self-drive area, greenhouse flower cultivation area, and poultry farming area. Each zone has its own style, unique features, and offers different kinds of fun to experience.

Yining City’s Bus No. 11 and special tourism lines go directly to the park. Its beautiful natural landscapes and artfully crafted scenes attract visitors from all directions. Open year-round, the park provides high-quality services. In 2003, it was rated as one of the top ten scenic spots in Ili Prefecture, and it has now become one of the larger, better-equipped, and more comprehensive ecological tourism resorts in Yining City.
