The Ili River Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village is located on the north bank of the Ili River along the New Ring Road in Yining City. Originally known as the Tashkulek Township Orchard, it covers an area of over 80 acres. In the very center of the garden stands a 5-meter-high pavilion that can accommodate 200 people. It serves as the main venue for local residents of Yining to hold folk events such as weddings and circumcisions. In addition, there are 16 small ethnic-style pavilions and 5 large ones, including a music greenhouse that can host up to 400 tourists at once. Professional ethnic song and dance performers put on daily shows here, allowing visitors from both home and abroad to enjoy distinctive ethnic performances unique to Ili. Moreover, the cultural tourism village offers nearly 200 varieties of traditional cuisine from the Uyghur, Kazakh, Hui, and Uzbek ethnic groups.
