Former Site of the Political and Cultural Activity Center of the Three-Districts Revolutionary Government

The former site of the Political and Cultural Activity Center of the Three-Districts Revolutionary Government is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The former site of the Political and Cultural Activity Center of the Three-Districts Revolutionary Government is located within People’s Park in Yining City, Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. Construction began in 1948 and was completed in the summer of 1949. This site is a typical European-style architectural complex, oriented from west to east. The entire complex extends from east to west and is composed of three main sections: a reviewing stand, an open-air theater, and a stage. It stretches 100 meters from east to west and 53.3 meters from north to south, covering a total floor area of 5,330 square meters. The structure is built with brick and wood. The reviewing stand is a two-story European-style building with a floor area of 100 square meters. In front of the stand is a 100-square-meter platform, which leads to the first floor of the reviewing stand via steps. The first floor includes two halls at the front and back, plus one room on the north side and one on the south side. The central front part of the front hall is the main entrance, in front of which is a staircase leading up to the second floor. The layout of the second floor is identical to that of the first. This building served as the venue where the leaders of the Three-Districts Revolutionary Government reviewed troops and watched mass gatherings, cultural, and sports events.

In May 2013, the former site of the Political and Cultural Activity Center of the Three-Districts Revolutionary Government was listed as part of the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
