Kuerzhi Township is located 18 kilometers east of Qitai County and 1.2 kilometers north of Provincial Highway 303. It borders Wumachang Kazakh Ethnic Township to the east, the 110th Regiment Farm to the west, neighbors Qitai Farm and the 109th Regiment Farm to the south, and adjoins Xidi Village of Xidi Township to the north, covering a total area of approximately 48 square kilometers.

The terrain in Kuerzhi Township is flat and the soil is fertile, with abundant underground water resources. There are 97 irrigation wells and 5 wells for drinking water for people and livestock. The area enjoys ample sunshine and a frost-free period of about 155 days. Its superior natural conditions and temperate climate are highly suitable for crop growth, especially for the development of cash crops. The township currently has 23,532 mu of arable land, with an average of 4.2 mu of farmland per capita. It produces high-quality wheat, barley, corn, melon seeds, sugar beets, oil crops, as well as pollution-free fruits and vegetables. There is also a wide variety of high-quality forage crops, including alfalfa, red clover, Sudan grass, and forage sugar beets, providing a solid foundation for the development of livestock farming in the farming area.
