The Huangquqiao Town Patriotic Education Base is a classic red tourism destination, as well as a patriotic education base and national defense education base.

The Huangquqiao Town Patriotic Education Base (Huangquqiao Revolutionary Tradition Education Base) in Pingluo County is situated within the market area of Huangquqiao Town, approximately 20 kilometers northeast of Pingluo County. Completed in 2013, it is the first revolutionary tradition education base and patriotic education base independently established by a township in Ningxia. It has been officially recognized and designated by the autonomous region, city, and county as the “Ningxia Party History Propaganda and Education Base,” “Autonomous Region National Defense Education Base,” “Shizuishan City Party History and Party Building Education Base,” Shizuishan City Core Socialist Values Education Practice Base, “Pingluo County Revolutionary Tradition Education Base and Mass Line Education Practice Base,” and “Pingluo County Huangquqiao Town National Defense Education Base.” It serves as an important site for party history, party building, patriotic, and revolutionary tradition education in Pingluo County. The base covers an area of 600 square meters and consists of four sections: the Party History Hall, Folk Custom Hall, Mass Line Education Hall, and Oath Hall. Its exhibits include the history of the 300-year-old ancient bridge and the historic cultural town of Huangquqiao (which once hosted a county government and housed a municipal Party school); the red culture of northern Ningxia; the rich local folk culture and food culture; the development history of education, folklore, and the entrepreneurial endeavors of notable individuals in this bookish town. Additionally, two books, *Ancient and Modern Huangquqiao* and *Historical Tales of Huangquqiao*, have been compiled to transform serious party history education into engaging, inspiring, and attractive exhibitions and literary works. By combining education with entertainment, these resources help promote, preserve, and apply the local red culture for governance, education, and public inspiration. Since opening to the public, numerous Party organizations from the autonomous region, city, and county have brought Party members to the base for visits, oath renewals, and revolutionary tradition education. To date, the base has welcomed over 30,000 visitors from all walks of life, fully demonstrating its role in educating through party history and supporting good governance. It has also contributed to the development of local commerce, trade, and the catering industry.

Huangquqiao Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Pingluo County. It belonged to Huinong County in 1941, became Huangquqiao Township in 1954, was restructured as a commune in 1958, transferred to Pingluo County in 1963, reinstated as a township in 1984, and upgraded to a town in 1989. Located in the northern part of the county, it is 15 kilometers from the county seat. Covering an area of 48 square kilometers, it has a population of 11,000. National Highway 109 passes through the town. The town administers nine village committees—Huangquqiao, Hongguang, Quzhong, Tongrun, Siqu, Qianguang, Houjialiangzi, Wanjiayingzi, and Wangjiayuanzi—as well as one residential committee, Huangquqiao.
