Former Site of Wucai Textile Company

The former site of Wucai Textile Company is located on Daxi Street, Chengnei Village, Yancheng Town, Wucai County. In 1951, with the development of commercial institutions, specialized companies such as those dealing in salt and general merchandise were established one after another. Gradually separating from the supply and marketing cooperatives, these entities set up independent organizations to conduct business, leading to the founding of Wucai Textile Company. The company played a significant role in the commercial development and economic construction of the time. In 1956, it was merged into the Textiles Company. The building faces south and measures 5.7 meters in width from north to south, and 22.2 meters in length from east to west, covering a total area of 126.54 square meters. The entrance gate is constructed of brick and concrete, with a triangular top. The lintel is engraved in relief with the words “Wucai Textile Company” and features a five-pointed star in intaglio, bearing distinct characteristics of the era.
