Cliff Inscriptions on Luya Mountain

The cliff inscriptions on Luya Mountain are a cultural relic protection unit of Wucai County.

The cliff inscriptions on Luya Mountain are located at Dong’ershang Village, Qiansuo Township, Wucai County, on the central peak of Luya Mountain. They span 7.5 meters from north to south and 12.5 meters from east to west, covering an area of 93.75 square meters. Situated on the eastern stone cliff of the central peak, the regular script inscription “Luya’s Premier Mountain” bears a Qianlong-era date. The eastern rock face resembles a screen, standing several zhang high, with faintly carved double borders measuring 0.67 meters. Below it are two niches, each 2 meters high, 1 meter wide, and 1.5 meters deep, with Buddha pedestals carved inside. Qiansuo Township: "A township under the jurisdiction of Wucai County. It was part of Nanfeng Commune in 1958, split off to form Qiansuo Commune in 1982, and established as a township in 1984. Located in the southeastern part of the county, it is 5 kilometers from the county seat. Covering an area of 64 square kilometers, it has a population of 9,000. The Yang (Fangkou)–Ke (Lan) Highway runs through the township. It administers 12 village committees: Qiansuo, Yousuo, Nanping, Gushan, Zhangjia, Gejia, Xuejia, Duzui, Nijiawa, Jiubao, Fuzigou, and Bianqiangzi. Agriculture mainly involves growing corn, potatoes, and sorghum. It is known for producing onions that are sold across various regions. Facilities include a seed farm and an agricultural machinery station."
