Dui Fort Ruins

The Dui Fort Ruins are a cultural heritage site protected by Wucai County.

The Dui Fort Ruins are located between Qianduibao Village and Houduibao Village in Hanjialou Township, Wucai County. They span roughly 500 meters from east to west and about 100 meters from north to south, with a total distribution area of 50,000 square meters. Situated on a terrace by a gully, the thickness of the cultural layer is not known, but surface remains are quite densely concentrated. Artifacts collected include fragments of gray pottery and clay-sand red pottery from the Neolithic Age, featuring cord and combed patterns, with identifiable vessel forms such as tripod leg fragments. In November 2001, the People’s Government of Wucai County designated the site as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit. (From “A Collection of Cultural Relics in Xinzhou”)

Hanjialou Township: A township under the jurisdiction of Wucai County. It was part of Sancha District in 1945, established as Hanjialou Township in 1956, converted to a commune in 1958, and re-established as a township in 1984. Located in the northwest of the county, it is 43 kilometers from the county seat. Covering an area of 67.9 square kilometers with a population of 5,000, it is traversed by the Xinzhou–Baode Highway.
