The Ancient Stele of Yang Gorge

On the northern bank of Longyang Gorge in Guide, there used to be a stone stele inscribed with an epitaph documenting the military achievements of General Deng during his western campaign in the Ming Dynasty. Later, some verses were left eroded by wind and rain, leaving only fragmented lines. In 1987, an investigation failed to locate the original stele, turning it into a historical mystery. Nevertheless, the towering cliffs of Longyang Gorge and the surging waves create an exceptionally spectacular landscape.
