Nanyang Ruins

The Nanyang Ruins are a cultural heritage site protected at the county level in Hequ County.

The Nanyang Ruins are situated about 500 meters south of Kecun Village, Wenbi Town, Hequ County. The site extends roughly 500 meters from east to west and around 200 meters from north to south, spanning an area of approximately 100,000 square meters. The terrain is flat. A brick factory was constructed in the central part of the site during the 1980s, and a new driving school has since been built there. Artifacts collected from the surface include gray pottery shards—both sandy and clayey—dating back to the Longshan Culture period, featuring decorative patterns such as cord marks and basket weave designs. In 1984, the People's Government of Hequ County designated the site as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit.
