Baihanluo Church is located in Baihanluo Village, Bingzhongluo Town, Gongshan County. It was built in the 24th year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1898 AD) by French missionary Jean-Baptiste Renou. The structure is a wooden building that combines Chinese and Western architectural styles, covering an area of 454 square meters. The entrance features a paifang-style gateway with six-panel lattice windows, the central bay on the second floor has arched windows, and the third floor serves as a bell tower.

In 1905, local ethnic groups launched an anti-foreign religion uprising and burned down the church, known as the Baihanluo Incident. The current structure was rebuilt by Jean-Baptiste Renou using compensation from the Qing government. Although many cultural relics inside the church were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution, the French wine-making techniques introduced by missionaries to the local community were preserved. Today, Baihanluo Wine and various wild fruit wines brewed using traditional French methods are must-try premium beverages when visiting Gongshan.

Bingzhongluo Town: A township under Gongshan Dulong and Nu Autonomous County. It was called Dalaxiang of Gongshan Administrative Bureau in 1933, Qiwensixiang in 1939, First District of Gongshan County in 1950, Bingzhongluo Commune in 1969, and upgraded to a district in 1984. In 1988, it became a township. Located in the northeast of the autonomous county, it is 30.5 kilometers from the county seat and borders Zayü County of the Tibet Autonomous Region to the north. Covering an area of 823 square kilometers with a population of 6,000, it is home to ethnic groups such as the Nu, Tibetan, and Lisu. The Nujiang River runs through the entire territory. It administers four administrative villages: Qiunatong, Jiasheng, Bingzhongluo, and Shuangla.
