Zhongding Church

Zhongding Church is the most famous church in the Bingzhongluo area. Originally built in 1904 by French missionary Jean-Baptiste Ravechon, who was involved in the "Baihanluo Incident," the church was modeled after a Catholic church in Hong Kong. It was grand in scale and very beautiful. However, the church was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution and was rebuilt on the original site in 1996, though at a smaller scale than the original church. The current church is quite simple inside, with several long wooden benches and faded paintings hanging on the walls. Behind the church, nestled among green trees, lies a modest small grave where the priest who oversaw the church's construction is buried.
