The Ancient Stone Bridge over the Xiaocun River in Mengku
The Ancient Stone Bridge over the Xiaocun River in Mengku is situated on the Xiaocun River in Naise Village, approximately 20 kilometers north of Mengku Town. Constructed in 1905, it measures 6 meters in length, 2.2 meters in width, and 2.3 meters in height, and is made up of five stone slabs; each slab is 5.1 meters long and 29 centimeters thick. The west side of the bridge features six stone pillars, accompanied by four stone horizontal railings. A marble stele stands at the bridgehead, documenting the construction of the bridge. This bridge served as a major post road crossing for travel to Lincang.
The ancient stone bridge is a testament to the historical route from Shuangjiang to Lincang and further into the inland regions during ancient times.
