Scenery of the Daluo River

The Daluo River, also known as the Nanlan River, flows from east to west through the Daluo Basin and into Myanmar. Only a 36-kilometer stretch of the river runs within the town of Daluo, while the rest mostly serves as the border river between China and Myanmar.

On both sides of the river are villages from both China and Myanmar. One Tree Forest is a tourist attraction formed by a single large banyan tree, estimated to be over 900 years old and covering an area of 120 square meters. The Daluo Forest Park features main attractions such as the China-Myanmar No. 219 Boundary Marker, ethnic song and dance performance venues, the Rubber Forest Cooling Garden, the China-Myanmar Trade Market, the China-Myanmar Friendship Bridge, and the Water Amusement Park.

Daluo Town: Daluo Town is located in the southwestern part of Menghai County. To the southeast is the Bulang Mountain, to the southwest and west it borders Myanmar, with a 36.5-kilometer-long borderline. To the northwest it neighbors Bada, and to the northeast lies Menghun Township. The highest point in the area is Bangnanhou Mountain in the north, at an elevation of 2,175 meters, while the lowest point is at the confluence of the Fuyan River and the Nanlan River in the southeast, at 598 meters above sea level. The total area is 400 square kilometers. Daluo is 81 kilometers from Menghai County seat. Daluo Town is an important port in Yunnan Province, boasting superior geographical advantages.
