The Lodoon Reclining Buddha is located in Xishuangbanna at the southwestern tip of Yunnan Province. In the ancient Dai language, it is called Mengbalanaxi, meaning "an ideal and magical paradise." It is famous for its magical tropical rainforest landscapes and ethnic minority culture. Scenic Features: Xishuangbanna is the only tropical rainforest nature reserve in China, with towering trees blocking out the sun, abundant rare birds and animals, and exotic plants and flowers everywhere. Close to Thailand and Myanmar, Xishuangbanna is imbued with Buddhist culture.
