Bianzhen Daluo, located 134 kilometers from Jinghong in the western part of Menghai County, borders Myanmar’s Mongla and is a national second-class port. The name "Daluo" comes from the Dai language, meaning "a ferry where multiple ethnic groups live together." Since ancient times, ethnic groups such as the Dai, Hani, and Blang have resided here, and the current population is 16,000. The climate in Daluo is humid, with no severe cold in winter and no extreme heat in summer. The average annual temperature is 21 degrees Celsius. The town is surrounded by continuous mountains and dense forests, with a forest coverage rate of 45%, including rare tree species such as Toona sinensis and keteleeria.

The Nanjian River, which flows through the Daluo Basin, leads directly to neighboring Myanmar. Along the riverbanks, villages from both countries sit side by side, creating picturesque scenery. The border residents share similar languages and clothing, and have maintained a deep “cross-border kinship” since ancient times. Border trade and tourism in Daluo are highly developed, with comprehensive service facilities integrating dining, accommodation, shopping, and sightseeing, welcoming a large number of domestic and international visitors daily. Three kilometers south of the town lies the peculiar landscape of “a single tree forming a forest.” An old banyan tree over 200 years old, standing more than 70 meters tall, has a trunk covered with countless block-like roots that resemble mountain ridges and valleys, extending downward and firmly gripping the earth.

From the branches of the tree hang roots that look like both roots and branches, deeply penetrating the soil to form a massive, intertwined whole of roots upon roots and branches upon branches. This makes the ancient tree, which covers an area of 120 square meters and has withstood hundreds of years of wind and rain erosion, still lush and vibrant, resembling a small forest.

Daluo Town: Located in the southwestern part of Menghai County, Daluo Town is bordered by the Brown Mountain range to the southeast, Myanmar to the southwest and west with a 36.5-kilometer border, adjacent to Bada to the northwest, and Menghun Township to the northeast. The highest point in the area is Bangnan Back Mountain in the north, at an elevation of 2,175 meters, while the lowest is at the confluence of the Fuyan River and the Nanlan River in the southeast, at 598 meters above sea level.
