Manzailong Buddhist Temple

Manzailong Buddhist Temple is located in Manzailong Village, Mangzhe Village Committee, Mangzhe Town. It is a prefecture-level cultural relic protection unit. The murals of Manzailong Buddhist Temple were first painted in the Dai calendar year 1230 (1868 AD), consisting of seven murals with distinct themes that vividly depict stories from Buddhist scriptures. These murals showcase a strong folk art style of the Dai people, concentrating a complete story within a single painting. The figures are depicted with an emphasis on the inner beauty of positive characters through handsome or noble appearances, while negative characters are portrayed with ugly features to reflect their inner wickedness.

Mengzhe Village: Mengzhe Village is under the jurisdiction of Mengzhe Town, Menghai County. It is located to the east of the town government, only 0.2 kilometers from the town center, with paved roads leading to the town government, making transportation convenient. It is 22 kilometers away from the county seat. To the east, it neighbors Menghai Town; to the south, it borders Manggen Village Committee; to the west, it neighbors Manlun Village Committee; and to the north, it adjoins Mancao Village Committee. The village administers 24 villager groups, including Manzailong, Manzhangling, Zhaozhuang, and Manmuzhong. It currently has 1,306 households, with a rural population of 6,017, including 6,016 agricultural residents and 4,127 laborers, among which 3,012 are engaged in primary industries.
