Jiegao Border Trade Economic Zone

Introduction: The Jiegao Border Trade Zone is located on the southeastern bank of the Ruili River, about 4 kilometers from Ruili City. It borders Muse, Myanmar’s main foreign trade port, to the east, south, and north. In the Dai language, "Jiegao" means "old city." Legend has it that during the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties, the king of the Luchuan Kingdom, Si clan, established his capital here, hence the name. The China-Myanmar Friendship Street is located on the Chinese side of the Jiegao border between China and Myanmar. In March 1991, Myanmar also built a number of commercial shops in a distinctively Burmese architectural style there. Transportation: After arriving in Ruili City, you can take a minivan to get there, or walk from the China-Myanmar Street to downtown Muse, but you’ll need to go through relevant procedures at the border checkpoint.
