Ruili River Square is the largest cultural and leisure venue in Ruili City. Built along the Ruili River, the square features lush green lawns, blooming bougainvillea, towering elephant-foot trees, and winding cobblestone paths among the trees. The square is adorned with ethnic-style architecture featuring overlapping upturned eaves, while the Water-Splashing Dragon Pavilion is adorned with tinkling wind chimes. At the entrance, the Educated Youth Monument stands firmly, and to the south of the square, the Buddhist Association resonates with chanting. It presents a harmonious scene of the borderland. On one side of the square lies an artificial lake with three bridges: the Bao-Bo Bridge, the Water-Splashing Bridge, and the Munao Bridge, symbolizing the everlasting friendship between Chinese and Burmese peoples, the vibrant Water-Splashing Festival, and the grand dance of the Munao Zongge festival where thousands dance together. During the annual China-Myanmar Bao-Bo Carnival and Water-Splashing Festival, Ruili River Square serves as the main venue for festive celebrations, accommodating tens of thousands of border residents rejoicing together. Walking up to the riverbank, you can see the Ruili River flowing gently southward, with the rows of high-rises in the Jiegao Trade Zone and the rolling mountains of Muse, Myanmar, spread out before your eyes.
