The song "There's a Beautiful Place" was created in Mengxiu Township, Ruili City. In 1954, the young military writer Yang Fei traveled to Ruili for inspiration. Standing on Mengxiu Mountain and looking out over the landscape, he saw the endless green plains of Ruili bathed in sunlight, with the Ruili River winding through the valley. This scenery ignited Yang Fei’s creative inspiration, leading to the birth of the song "There's a Beautiful Place." After becoming the theme song of the film "Menglongsha," it gained widespread popularity and was later included in the "Collection of 100 Patriotic Songs Since the May Fourth Movement." In 1997, it was designated as the city anthem of Ruili. For over half a century, its lyricist and composer, Yang Fei, formed an inseparable bond with Ruili City.
