The Golden Pagoda of Jiele, known in the Dai language as "Guangmu Hemo," meaning "the pagoda at the head of the horse on the plain," is located 5 kilometers northeast of Ruili City in Yunnan Province. It is the oldest Buddhist structure and religious site in Ruili.

The Grand Golden Pagoda of Jiele was first constructed in the 17th century as a cluster of 17 pagodas. Its body is covered with golden ceramic tiles. In addition to the main pagoda, 16 smaller ones surround it, all coated in gold powder, creating a resplendent sight resembling a moon surrounded by stars—magnificent and imposing. The base is built from rectangular bluestone, while the pagoda cluster is made of steel-reinforced concrete. The main pagoda stands 39.5 meters tall, with an octagonal prism shape tapering into a cone. It is covered in golden tiles, and its spire is adorned with an aluminum-made umbrella and wind vane, along with hundreds of wind chimes. The pagoda serves as a spiritual center for the surrounding community. During Buddhist events, villagers from nearby areas and even Dai people from Myanmar gather here to worship barefoot.
